Winter/Spring Film Fest

Come and join us for what we hope will be inspiring chats afterwards in the barn at the Royal Oak (opposite the cinema).

Saturday and Sunday 3rd March In a change to a previous plan, the next film showing will be Six Inches of Soil, The inspiring story of British farmers standing up against the industrial food system and transforming the way they produce food – to heal the soil, benefit our health and provide for local communities. If you are conscious and curious about where your food comes from, this is for you.

Sunday 7th April, 5pm. Woman At War – Halla is a 50-year-old environmental activist who crusades against the local aluminium industry in Iceland. As her actions grow bolder, her life changes in the blink of an eye when she is finally granted permission to adopt a girl from the Ukraine. This film brings comedy, charm and one woman’s actions into an amazingly wonderful film. Watch it, you won’t regret it!
